A Day at the Pumpkin Patch!

Eliza's preschool had a fieldtrip to a pumpkin patch close by in Monument, so we met up with some of Eliza's friends (Abigail and Emilia).  Sara found a new little buddy too!  (Noah, Abigail's little brother)

First we bounced on this bouncy inflatable.

Next Eliza went down slides, both by herself and the bigger ones with Eli.

Next up, feeding the animals!

This was Sara's favorite part of the pumpkin patch-- playing in the corn box!

Eliza liked it too :)

Then we went for a very dusty ride in some cow barrels behind a tractor.

And found some fun swings.

Last of all, we went to pick out a pumpkin to take home!

I see some of the cutest pumpkins right here.

As we were leaving it started sprinkling.  We left just in time!
I love pumpkin patches, and I'm so glad we came!

All about Sara-- Part 1

Sara absolutely loves Lucky.  Her only word continues to be DAH!
(Sometimes this means Dad too-- so I guess she can say 2 words.😆 )

She loves food too.  You always know she is hungry or wants something because she will go mmm, mmm, mmm.  (Impossible to write down the noise she makes, but just know it is adorable.)

Eliza is a super sweet big sister to her, but with Sara it is a love/hate relationship.  If Eliza gets too close, Sara will start pulling her hair, scratching her, or screaming.  Sara doesn't like other kids to get in her personal space.

So pretty and ready for church!

She loves this little car to ride around on.

Sara loves to be outside.

And she loves to be in the water.  She absolutely loves bath time.

So I didn't get around to posting about her birthday because we were in Wyoming at the time, but we had a little party celebration for her there.

We started the day with a little hike to a river.  There were lots of wildflowers along the way!  It was so beautiful.

Then I made her a vanilla cake with strawberries on top.  It was delicious.

This girl loves sweets!

We ended the day with a campfire and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows.

Happy birthday sweet girl!  I am so glad you are part of our family!

Beards come to visit!

Brandon had a field trip in Colorado Springs, so the Camille, Corbin, and Sarah came to stay with us for a few days!  It was so good to see them again!

Just documenting the 2 Sarah's.  :)

Mother's Day 2022

I just loved Mother's day this year.  It was a great day.  It started out with gifts/ notes from the family and Gabe making me an enormous breakfast of waffles, eggs, toast, and bacon.  At church the women all got to meet together second hour and have a brunch together-- that was really fun and <bonus> didn't have to prepare for a young women lesson! :)  Ashlee stayed home from church because she was sick, but surprised me with a clean house when we got back.

After church the kids showed me the flowers they had bought to plant in the yard.  So we all went and planted them in the front yard (even Ashlee who wasn't feeling good).  It was a nice sunny day but windy.  I loved planting all together.  It was the highlight of the day.

Next I think I took a nap, we played a big game of Settlers, then had a dinner of hamburgers and hot dogs.

It was a wonderful day, and I felt so loved by Gabe and the kids. They made me feel so special.  I just love this family of mine.

Sara 10 months old!

Sara is not so little anymore, and she has the biggest personality!  She is constantly bouncing, kicking, or rolling over and just started scooting herself forward this week!  She is a mover, just like how I felt her in the womb.  She absolutely loves Lucky, and says "da" for dog (her first word I think!)  Every morning when I set her down on my bed, she moves herself to the edge of the bed (practically falling off) to look at Lucky.  She also loves pulling off my glasses if I am wearing them, and is not afraid to grab anything she sees and pull hard (like the skin on my face).  Her teeth have been coming in fast since we saw the first one (about 8 months?) and she now has at least 5.  I am amazed by how much this girl can eat, and her favorite foods are mac n cheese or homemade tomato soup (one of the first table foods she ever got and she just gobbled it down-- I was afraid she was going to be sick!)

She is a little sweetheart, and everyone always tells me what big and beautiful eyes she has.  She is a beautiful baby girl and I am so glad she is part of our family.

This picture made us late for church.  Totally worth it.

She and Eliza are best buddies, and they both adore each other.
Eliza is the best big sister to her.

What a little dolly!  We love you baby Sara!
