4th of July Camping and Boating Trip

After a disappointing 4th of July, because the city of Colorado Springs had banned all fireworks, we were ready to have some fun.  We got all our camping gear together, along with the boat, and headed down to Lathrop State Park to camp for a couple nights.

We invited a few friends to come along and join us.  The Beards came and enjoyed an afternoon of boating, before the early evening thunderstorm chased them away.

Then the Bakers came and camped with us the second night we were there, and enjoyed boating with us the next day.  Their kids loved riding on the tube, and Elijah begged to go faster and faster, while Sam was saying to slow down.  😀

Finally, Grandma and Grandpa Black, Holly and her kids, and Joey and Sage came and joined us the final afternoon.  The kids enjoyed seeing their cousins that would soon be moving to South Korea.  Joey and Sage were full of wedding plans, and they even brought sandwiches and donuts to taste test in anticipation of the wedding.

It was a great few days at the lake, and we had a blast!
