Christmas

We had our very first Christmas ever by ourselves. No family around. It definitely was different, and with no snow it was a little harder to get the feeling of Christmas in our home, but at the same time it was fun to just enjoy the time with our children, and be laid back about it.

One day we made Gingerbread houses! The trick to making gingerbread houses is the frosting, I think, and my first attempt did not set up as well as it should've. But adding a little more powdered sugar did the trick, and it turned out much better.

Benny was more interested in eating the candy than decorating with it. :) Daddy helped Benny make a "castle," and pointed candy cane cannons aimed towards me and Ashlee's "cottage." Here are the finished products!

Here are the kids in their Christmas jammies, excited for Santa to come visit!!

The next day, Christmas day, we drove down to San Antonio and enjoyed a couple days there with Holly and Tyler and their family and friends, and saw Emily and Chris and their family as well.
