Our long time neighbors, Camille, Elise, Brandon, Corbin, and Sarah Beard, moved to Utah in August. This was a huge adjustment for our family, since they are practically family to us. Especially for our kids, since they are so used to going over to their house to play. They lost their best friends. Their yard was our yard, and the kids would roam freely between the two houses.
We went together to visit one of their favorite places before they left, the Nickelcade. More specifically, the horse races. Jeff and Cameron loved going there too, and we went with them once before they died. (If I recall correctly, that was the time I won the big cup 😀. Good times.) So it was in sweet memoriam of them, along with making our own memories.
Having to say good-bye was bittersweet. Sad for our kids, yet excited for them to start a new life in Utah.
