A Tragedy Beyond Words

Another thing that happened this summer that deserves it's own post... our next door neighbors experienced a tragedy.  Jeff Beard took 3 of his kids backpacking in the Maroon Bells, and on the last night, he and his oldest son were struck by lightning and killed.  It is so sad, and my heart hurts for them.  I wish there was more I could do for them... at least be a better friend.  I hope Camille, Elise, and Brandon find some peace and comfort through this trial.  I hope they can have a good support system, good friends who they can lean on, I hope I can be one of those people.
