In our church once a month, we have a fast and testimony meeting where everyone is supposed to start a fast beforehand and fast for two meals (or 24 hours). In the meeting, members of the congregation can get up and share their testimony. It is open for whoever would like to share.
So this past week, Ben decided to get up and bear his testimony. He did a great job, and sat back down. Meanwhile Thomas had been observing Ben, and when Ben sat down, he turned to me and Gabe and said, "My turn?" Gabe jokingly said, "Sure."
Then before we could do anything, Thomas bolted up the aisle as fast as his two little legs could carry him, and ran up to the stand. I whispered to Gabe,"GO get him!" But Thomas had practically made it to the stand by the time Gabe reached him.
So there was no going back now. Gabe carried him up to the stand, and let Thomas speak into the microphone. Thomas said "Hey," and that was it. Then Gabe had no choice but to bear his testimony.
So grateful for our little ball of energy Thomas, and all the fun and excitement he brings into our lives!
